Natural Resource BiometricsHistogramsA histogram is a data summary graph that emperically emulates the distribution, using real data collected from a sample. We first have to create a set of bins that cover the range of the data. Then we count the number of individuals in each bin. So a histogram graph is always frequency on the y axis and the bin values on the x axis.
